New York City native, Dom Turo, has been playing drums since he was 16 years old and professionally for the last 15 years.
Since his youth, Dom has been a drummer in the making. From banging on pots and pans to the Monkees, to rattling the basement practicing to his favorite metal and punk bands like Nirvana, Metallica, Blink 182, NOFX and Lagwagon. His parents may not have had many quiet moments, but knew they had a drummer on their hands. Always wanting to play harder and faster, his influences took to the likes of Dave Grohl, Travis Barker, Dave Raun and Lars Ulrich. Dom knew he had no choice but to make drums his life.
Both as a headlining and supporting act, Dom and his band The Poynt have shared the stage with major acts such as Sponge, Tantric, Power Glove, Doll Skin, Michael Angelo Batio, Angel Vivaldi, Eve to Adam and many more. Most notably sharing the stage with legendary punk rock drummer Marky Ramone.
As of 2020, Dom is in the studio with producer/engineer Richie Beretta (Beyoncé, Parliament Funkadelic, Major Lazer, Andrew W.K.) recording a new album with The Poynt set to be released this summer.
