At 33, Michael Davila is an accomplished and passionate musician who won the prestigious Drummer of Tomorrow Global Finals at Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. This victory earned him a full endorsement with Mapex Drums and the honor of attending Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.

Michael's journey with drums began at the age of 4, playing alongside his father’s band in California. Throughout middle and high school, he honed his skills in both marching and jazz bands. By 18, he was already an independent musician, performing with various bands across Texas.

Influential drummers like Chris Adler, Chris Coleman, Dom Famularo, and Rashid Williams have recognized and encouraged his talent, helping to shape his unique style.

Today, Michael performs with guitar icon David Grissom and leads his own band, Open2.o, continuing to push creative boundaries.
