Mike Maeda is a Brazilian musician and record producer. He currently acts as a drummer and song writer for Monteventura and Republica, both from São Paulo. He is also a senior product specialist for musical instruments brands like TAMA and SABIAN, in Brazil.

Artistically through his body of work, Mike accomplished a unique mix of electronic aesthetics, Brazilian organic grooves and powerful vintage rock from 70's. Using this concept, Mike Maeda released his first solo album entitled Techno Chaos in May 2013.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Drums from University of Arts Alcântara Machado (uniFMU/ FAAM) and EMT (School of Music and Technology), as well as, extracurricular courses in pro audio engineering and production, and ProTools at IAV (Audio and Video Institute). As an all-around musician and executive artistic producer, he’s worked with several Brazilian and international artists, such as Marina Lima, Kiko Loureiro, Djavan, Paralamas do Sucesso, Ian McCulloh, The Winery Dogs, Adrenaline Mob, Transatlantic, Megadeth, Kiss and so forth.

As a product specialist, he travels around the world playing drums clinics and presenting the latest products innovation both technically and music wise. On these clinic tours he also presents his solo work from his Techno Chaos album.

In the mist of all of this, Mike Maeda is currently taking the spotlight with his band Republica doing several major festivals around the world, like Rock in Rio, extensive PR work in radio stations, TV, websites and magazines. Currently Republica is releasing their fourth album, entitled BRUTA & BEAUTIFUL, that was produced by iconic record producer Matt Wallace, who’s works include Faith No More, Maroon 5, 3 Doors Down, Deftones and several others. The record was recorded and mixed in Los Angeles at The Steak House and at the legendary Sound City Complex.
