Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas this 5 foot 2 “Giant” brings intensity, passion, and his own twist of originality on and off stage, as well as in the studio. At the age of 17 this young drummer never thought he would find himself opening up for acts like: Earth, Wind, and Fire, Little Richard, and 80's R&B group The Jetts just to name a few. Although his passion as a drummer precedes him; in 2001 he made a career move and switched his role on stage as a Latin Percussionist. Teaching himself to play congas and timbales proved to be a challenge that would soon pay off. While keeping busy on tour with a diverse group of Tejano Artists, he was called upon many times to add his flavor and creativity to several projects. In doing so, Robby has contributed his talent on 13 American and Latin Grammy Nominated albums, acts such as Conjunto Primavera, DJ Kane, and Emilio Navaira (which won a Grammy in 2007 for the album "De Nuevo"), etc. Robby is no stranger to television either, and has been appeared on National and Worldwide syndicated shows such as: Sabado Gigante, Caliente, Escandalo TV, El Gordo Y La Flaca, and Despierta America. Today at the height of his career, he’s traveling the world with Latin Super Group A.B. Quintanilla Y Elektro Kumbia (DEL Records) [formerly Kumbia Kings/Kumbia All Starz], Mi Stereo (Fonovisa division of Universal Music Mexico), and playing locally with Finding Friday Band.
