As a drummer who uses a lot of hand percussion as part of the kit I’ve always been annoyed at how unnatural it felt to put a piece of percussion down on a table. It would take me momentarily out of the music. And like every other drummer on earth can sympathize with, I very often misplaced my tiny drum keys. So the idea occurred to me to make a drum key with a piece of percussion attached to it. Therefore decreasing the likelihood of misplacing a drum key, and most importantly utilizing the space on the kit and allowing myself to seamlessly put down or pick up the percussion.
