Marc Jackson

Acid Reign | United Kingdom

Influenced by drummers such as Bill Ward, John Bonham and Cozy Powell, Marc Jackson started playing drums at the age of 13. During this time Marc gained a strong reputation and a lot of respect from his peers in the local music scene. In 2003, Marc joined the covers/original rock band Minnikin and released the album 'Europa' in 2004 which was to be Marc Jacksonโ€™s debut album of his music career.

After parting ways with Minnikin, Marc was asked to audition for Beyond the Grave in 2005. After Marc was asked to join the band, Beyond the Grave went on to notch up some notable achievements, including closing out the first ever Hard Rock Hell Festival in Minehead in November 2007. This followed on from a successful summer tour of the UK, which saw the band sell out their home town venue The Carling Academy in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Beyond the Grave played with bands from across the metal genre worldwide, including Cradle of Filth, Cult of Luna, Sylosis, Dry Kill Logic, Beyond All Reason, Sacred Mother Tongue and Weapons. Beyond the Grave also released an EP 'Sands of Desolation' in 2008 which received a 9/10 review from 'Terrorizer' Magazine. In 2009 the band recorded and released the album 'The Human Tide' which also received glowing feedback, much of which included reviews stating that at the young age of 22, Marc was being rated as a rising star, encompassing both modern and traditional styles of drumming.

After parting ways with Beyond the Grave, Marc was then approached by Blitzkrieg front-man Brian Ross who asked him to join his side project Metalizer. He gladly took the offer, enjoying his time playing with the band, before moving on to focus on other commitments.

In 2012 Marc was asked to join M:Pire of Evil featuring Ex Venom guitarist Jeff Dunn (Mantas) and Ex Venom vocalist/bassist Tony Dolan ( Demolition Man). He officially joined M:Pire of Evil, touring around the globe promoting the release of M:Pire of Evil's debut album 'Hell To The Holy' and succeeding album 'Crucified'.

Marc was then approached by UK thrash metal band Acid Reign and was asked to join permanently. Marc Jackson accepted the offer and in 2019 Acid Reign released the album 'The Age Of Entitlement'.

In 2019 the opportunity arose to also join NWOBHM band Fist . Marc is currently working on new material with Fist getting ready to release a new album in the near future.
