Christian Wolf received a Fisher Price drum set when he was two years old…little did anyone know the journey had just begun. What started out as child’s play quickly developed into a Lifelong obsession. Being born into a musical family, music was the game of choice that was played in the house.
Growing up in Hendersonville, Tennessee, Christian was surrounded by music while living down the street from Johnny Cash. At age 9 he started furthering his natural born abilities by taking lessons from accomplished drummer Dick Gay (Clint Black drummer). By the age of 12, Christian had begun session playing & recording demos for other artists on Nashville’s famous Music Row. At 13 he started developing his showmanship playing in bars and nightclubs with local rock bands.
Christian found success with The Tennessee Werewolves, a band he founded with his family. TTW exploded on to the scene with a Remake of “Folsom Prison Blues” produced by John Carter Cash and featuring Rob Caggiano of Volbeat. The high energy take on the Johnny Cash classic spent 3 weeks in the top 10 and landed the band in Billboard Magazine as well as being named “Artist to Watch For” by Rolling Stone.
Christian Wolf’s drums & persona are a fundamental part of TTW on and off the stage. His style of playing and larger than life attitude create instant fans of all who see him live or meet him more than likely in a neighboring pub.
A Lee Strasberg alumni, Christian brings the theatrics back to Rock N Roll. Having been influenced by Tommy Lee, Joey Kramer, & John Bonham; Christian Wolf is currently one of the most entertaining drummers in the industry.
