Joey Sanchez is a professional drummer who’s been playing drums since age 5 years old. Joey started his professional career in April of 1987 at the age of 14. Joey has played most of his career in The Tejano Music Genre. Joey has 200 studio album/cd recordings under his belt. He has recorded for such artists as Grupo Presidente, Grupo Rodeo, Texas Latino, Marcos Orozco, Shelly Lares, Ram Herrera, Los Dudes and many others. Joey has also played with or filled in with most Tejano Artists like George Rivas, Jorge Alejandro, Latin Breed, Roger Velasquez and The Latin Legends just to name a few. Joey is currently Touring with The Art Tigerina Band and The Jukebox Preachers. Joey loves to play drums and share his knowledge with upcoming drummers in the Tejano genre. Joey’s influences are Bobby Solis, Richard Solis, Jesse Reyna, Roger Cabello, Juan Hinojosa, Richard Barron, Victor Rodriguez, all Tejano drummers, also Hal Blaine, Jeff Pocaro, Steve Smith, Mike Kennedy, Neil Peart and many others.
