At the age of 23 years old, Michael Davila Jr. is a talented, creative, musical, hard working musician that won the Drummer of Tomorrow Global Finals in 2012 at MusikMesse in Frankfurt, Germany.
By winning this competition, Michael Davila received a full endorsement with Mapex Drums, the prestige of being called the Drummer of Tomorrow Global International Winner along with some schooling at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California.
At the early age of 4, Michael began to play the drums with his fathers’ band in California. He began to play with the marching and jazz band in middle school.
By the age of 18, he was an independent musician playing with different bands in Texas. In the beginning of his career well known drummers like Chris Adler (Lamb of God), Chris Coleman, Dom Famularo, Chris Pennie, Damien Schmitt, Tony Coleman (BB King), Rashid Williams (John Legend) have taken the time to share and encourage Michael of the talent they have seen in him.
Companies like Mapex Drums and Zildjian Cymbals, Herd Brochstein founder of Pro Mark Drum Sticks, Bob McGrew who is President of Local 65-699 have been open doors for Michael Davila Jr. in his career.
His first winning competition was The Next Great Drummer (2010) in Ontario, California.
He performed for Patty LaBelle, Teddy Campbell, Felix Pollard and Eric Seats.

Michael Davila Jr. is presently performing as an independent musician. He is playing in venues all over Texas, touring in the United States, and other countries.
