Taykwuan Jackson was born October 2nd, 1993 on Long Island, New York. At the age of 10 he acquired a unique fondness of the drum set, along with a position as the drummer of his church; and he hasn't stopped playing since.
Not long into playing, Taykwuan found a love for a different style of drumming and began to draw techniques of power, precision and technicality from influences such as Chad Smith, Thomas Haake and Mike Portnoy. After graduating from High School in 2011 he began playing relentlessly with local Hardcore and Metal bands in the long Island area; quickly establishing himself as a solid force to be reckoned with over the next 3 years.
In May of 2014 Taykwuan filled in for Hardcore band Suburban Scum on his first major touring gig. The same day he arrived home from that month long journey around the U.S., he received a call from members of Legendary Hardcore/Metal outfit Sworn Enemy, who were at the time in need of a replacement drummer. Taykwuan quickly hopped on board and has since conquered Europe, Asia and North America for a second time.
Sworn Enemy is currently in the studio with a new album due to be released sometime late 2016.
