Danmar Percussion Products was founded by Frank DeVito in 1970. After years of playing behind some of the biggest names in the music industry including Frank Sinatra, Elvis, The Beach Boys, Sonny & Cher, The Monkees, Herb Alpert, The Benny Goodman Orchestra and as a recording artist with Baja Marimba Band to name just a few. Frank found that many of the commercially manufactured drum parts just didn't cut it so he began to develop his own. Finding that his own designs worked so well he formed his own company, Danmar, to make them available to drummers everywhere.At Tackle Instrument Supply, we understand that the relationships musicians forge with their gear is a sacred one and we seek to help protect and further that connection through high-quality, thoughtfully designed cases and accessories. Inspired by the heritage cases from bygone eras, Tackle goods maintain the classic, simple aesthetic of those early designs but with the integrity and durability of modern production.
